Opportunities

At CSHS we take the "Community" in Community Service very seriously. We work dilligently to connect our members with real and impacting service projects. Some of our service projects include going to elementary schools to do computer science activities, organize and run events such as the Hackathon, and contributing to open-source projects.

Another unique thing to our honor society is that we recognize hours done for other organizations and still hand out service awards (which look great on College Applications)

Internships

We know that finding internships as a highschooler is hard. We hear you, that's why Fossil Ridge Computer Science Honor Society is working to open up internship opportunities to high school members. We encourage learn by doing, and so we've made it even easier for you to help your community by simply joining and supporting our in-house projects such as managing the HTML/CSS/PHP code on this website, creating our in-house trivia platform, and creating a fully-fledged mobile app. We provide the training, just make sure to attend!

Priority

Most honor societies, you pay for a membership fee and an honor cord without any other benifits. Not at CSHS. CSHS has fully committed to providing early access registration and priority registration for any of it's events and our partner organizations' competitive teams. Being a CSHS member may provide discounts and fee waivers for certain events and merchandise, and you'll always be the first to know about any Fossil Ridge Computer Science teams, competitions, events, workshops, or career speakers.
